Small, Organic Veggie Bag - TUES
Dicot Farm is a small, but mighty certified organic farm just 25 miles south of DC! The veggies are picked just days before delivery for incredibly fresh + nutritious vegetables.
The Small, Organic Veggie Bag for Tuesday 9/29 will include:
- 1/4lb Salad mix - spicy mix or pea shoots
- Pint of Sweet Peppers
- Pint of Shishito Peppers - Saute or grill whole in oil and garlic at high heat until blistered and a little charred, tossing frequently. Serve whole with a little salt and lemon juice.
- 1lb Eggplant - Asian or Fairy Tale varieties
- 1/4lb Fresh Baby Ginger - Baby ginger doesn't need to be peeled and can be eaten raw. Just grate/chop as you normally would with the mature root. Store in a sealed bag/container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks, or in the freezer for many months (just pull out of the freezer and grate what you need, then return to the freezer). We like adding it to any Asian-inspired dish when we're sautéing the onions and garlic (would be great with the sweet peppers and eggplant also included in this bag!).
