This bread puddin' with brown butter and bourbon is famous for a reason, enticing even people who say they don’t like bread pudding into trying one bite after another. No nuts and no raisins, just sweet bread and butter goodness brought right to your door. This rich bread pudding loaf will serve four to six people, or one person who would like to eat bread pudding throughout the week. Simply reheat and top with vanilla ice cream for a stellar dessert.

Bread pudding will keep for up to 5 days in the fridge when stored tightly in a covered container in the fridge.

The bread pudding will last for up to 3 months in the freezer. When ready to eat from the freezer, always make sure the frozen pudding is completely defrosted before reheating. To reheat after defrosting, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cover the pudding with foil to prevent it from drying out. Heat for 8 to 10 minutes. To get a crispy top take the foil off for the last few minutes of heating.


Toyin, the Owner/Chef of Puddin' got her start ten years ago as a street food vendor at DC's historic Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. Since her start, Puddin' has grown to include Union Market, various local markets and two food trucks. 

At Puddin', Toyin specializes in divine comfort food including chicken 'n beef sausage gumbo, shrimp 'n grits, etouffee, red beans 'n rice, shrimp, Rappahannock oyster and wild blue catfish po'boys and of course, her signature dish and the company's namesake, Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Puddin'.
