Our take on the Indonesian chili paste, this sambal will be the secret ingredient in every dish you make! It's a spicy, funky paste that goes great in a stir fry or curry but also is the perfect thing to spread on sandwiches or mix into ketchup or mayo.
The stars aligned on this one: we used stored up chili mash from previous years and had help from our friend Fiona at District Fishwife to perfect the recipe, then fermented the paste for a long time. That means this is truly a limited run! When they're gone, they're gone!
