Barrel Update: So far this season, our Half Sours maybe more 'pickled' than in past years. What does this mean? They might be a bit less bright green. They will taste slightly more sour! The crunch level has remained lovely, though! Why is this happening? Our workflow has changed significantly this year. We'll keep adjusting so our fresh fermented pickles are as fresh as possible! -June 9
The unicorn of the pickle world! Fermenting in our barrels for just a few days, Half Sours are very fresh and crunchy. Lightly spiced, our Half Sour are made without garlic for a clean, crispy cucumber taste.
Our Half Sours are whole cucumbers, not spears (as pictured). Each quart container has about 8-9 whole cucumbers. If you prefer spears, try our Crispy Koshers.
We have yet to taste a half sour pickle more delicious than ours. And, yes, we visit NYC often :)
Ingredients: Cucumbers, water, salt, spices, splash of apple cider vinegar, calcium salt
Fermentation Time: A few days to just over a week. When you get our Half Sours fresh, they are between a New Sour and Half Sour pickle.
