Longview Farm's cacciatore salami is made from Berkshire pigs — a heritage breed known for their supreme taste. These Berkshires are fed a mix of locally, freshly milled barley and wheat, which makes them slower growing but distinctively delicious. They also rotate through the farm's oak and poplar woods to root around and forage, snacking on plenty of acorns. After acorn season, the pork shoulder is aged into this cacciatore salami. Rich, buttery, deeply savory, and perfect sliced thin at room temperature.

Longview Farm has been in the Breese family since the 1940s, and it's clear that Penelope finds joy in sharing good food made right. Their small family farm is at the first bend in the Potomac River, just 20 minutes south of the Washington Monument. The family raises Berkshire and Ossabaw pigs, Angus cows, and chickens without hormones, antibiotics or stimulants and grows flowers and vegetables following natural practices, no pesticides. They care deeply about making healthy, delicious food sustainably and taking care of their beautiful land.
