Meyer lemons are a cross between a citron and a mandarin/pomelo hybrid. They are sweeter then normal lemons and super fragrant. Their juice and peel is great in baked goods and cocktails.
Sanguinelli blood oranges are sweet with a hint of tart, with a strikingly crimson coloring. They sing in a boulevardier and make for a particularly beautiful citrus curd.
Cara cara oranges feature a pink flesh that’s low-acid and lightly sweet. Add segments to salads and save their zest for baked goods.
Cocktail grapefruits are much sweeter and less acidic than other varieties, making them exceptional for eating straight or, as the name implies, juicing into a cocktail.
