Corn - THURS, SUNDAY
Field Update #2: The first corn of the season is bicolor - white + yellow. And slightly sweet. It's lovely! -July 8
Field Update: It was a tough growing season for corn this year - there were numerous freezes and the farm needed to use extra coverings to protect the corn plants, but they preserved! We're so happy to have corn :) -July 1
It's SUMMER! We've very excited to deliver six ears of corn grown by Spring Valley Farm + Orchard. This is a sweet corn variety!
Store: store corn in the fridge. We recommend using your corn within 3 days, but it may be fine in the fridge for longer, up to a week!
Spring Valley has been at farmers markets with us since day 1 of starting our business - we've known Eli Cook + his dedicated crew for almost a decade now! Located just outside of Romeny, West Virginia, they're just over 2 hours from Washington DC. The Cook family is committed to growing, picking and selling high quality, fresh fruits + vegetables. Spring Valley has grown their business at both farmers markets in the DC-area and at their farm stands in Virginia and West Virginia.
