Here's what's in your veggie bags from The Farm a Sunnyside- for delivery on Thursday April 16th!
These veggies are picked to order + packed on Tuesday. They are then delivered to us on Wednesday and then delivered to you the next day!
We're working fastiudously with local farms like The Farm at Sunnyside, Path Valley Farms, Dicot Farm, Toigo Orchards, Gardeners Gourmet, King Mushrooms + Little Wild Things to ensure you get the freshest veggies possible :)
Small bags
1 bunch radishes (french or red) : fresh + crunchy. AND, those greens make a great radish top pesto!
1 bunch tarragon or mint : time for that spring cocktail or mocktail!
1 lb mixed carrots : sweet + crunchy. add some color to that spring salad!
1/2 lb spring mix : a spring treat! tender, sweet greens. add our
beets or
giardiniera
1/2 lb spinach : have you made a spinach dip lately? schmear it on some
bread. yum!
Large bags
1 bunch radishes (french or red) OR hakurei turnips : fresh + crunchy. AND, those greens make a great pesto!
1 bunch spring herb (cilantro, dill, tarragon or mint) : NOW is the time to start embracing the herbs in your cooking, dressings + cocktails. It'll make you happy!
1/2 lb spinach : a wonderful addition to a quiche or frittata
1.5 lbs mixed carrots : sweet + crunchy.
1 lb rutabaga : what? I'm like a buttery turnip. Roast me with those carrots.
1/4 lb pea shoots : sweet + tender. add me to salad or saute lightly to top a stir fry.
1 bunch brassicas (raab or choi) : saute time! we eat raabs on top of pizza and chois in our eggs!
1/2 lb collards : try spicing me up! season with dried hot peppers and simmer.
