Small, Organic Veggie Bag
1 bunch radishes (french or red) : Fresh on salads is great but have you tried to lightly saute these in some butter?
1 bunch bronze fennel or anise hyssop : these are both great for making tea or cocktails
1 bunch kale or collards: saute these up with some beans for a delicious, hearty and healthy meal.
1 bag salad greens (1/3 to 1/2 lb) : arugula, lettuce mix, baby kale or a mix of all three. While salad is an obvious choice of what to do with these greens, they are also a great addition to sandwiches.
1 bag spinach (1/3 to 1/2 lb) : a great addition to a quiche or quesadillas.
Large, Organic Veggie Bag
1 bunch radishes (french or red) : fresh + crunchy. AND, those greens make a great pesto!
1 bunch mint or chocolate mint : a great time to try your hand at making some ice cream.
1 bag (1/3 to 1/2 lb) lettuce mix : crisp and multi colored salads here we come.
1 lb carrots : they are still sweet. These will be some of the last carrots from us awhile so enjoy them while they are here.
1 bunch Asian turnips : ginger and miso go great with these sweet treats.
1 large or 2 small heads lettuce: This is some of the first of the season for us! Some varieties are frilly and delicate while others are crisp and hearty. They are all delicious
1 bunch greens (kale or mustard) : these greens are great as a side dish on their own or are a perfect addition to a soup or stew
1 bag greens (kale, arugula or mixed greens) : These can be eaten in a salad but also can be used to top a pizza, sandwich or given a quick saute.
Heirloom Tomato Plant Packs!
Each heirloom pack contains 4 plants:
1 Striped German : Medium to large yellow + pink fruit. Sweet. Farmer Stacey loves to put a thick slice of this on her summertime tomato sandwich! (But, needs a napkin.)
1 Cherokee Purple : Medium to large purple fruit. Rich, meaty flavor. The heirloom that made all heirloom tomatoes famous.
1 Green Zebra : Medium green + yellow striped fruit. More productive. Acidic.
-AND-
1 Nyagous (Black Prince type) or 1 additional Green Zebra or 1 additional Cherokee Purple
These plants were sown + grown in Vermont Compost potting soil and lovingly cared for by Farmer Stacey.
