LARGE VEGGIE BAG!
This week's large veggie bag for Thursday 6/4 is telling us to STIR FRY or KOREAN BBQ or KIMCHI! Here's what your bag will contain:
SMALL VEGGIE BAG!
It's the Italian veggie bag! Try fennel + radicchio + favas or peas with some lemon juice, olive oil + parmesan. The small veggie bag for Thursday 6/4 delivery will delight you with
1 bag salad greens (1/3 to 1/2 lb): Try me in salads, in pitas, on a sandwich!
1 fennel : Fennel is great braised with pork. Or, shave to top pasta with those peas + parsley!
1 fresh sweet onion : Onions are the base of every meal that we make here. Enjoy both the bulbs and greens. Great on the grill, too!
1 bunch parsley : Super versatile herb. Think Italian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. A wonderful accompaniment to lemon juice.
1 head radicchio or 1 bunch Spigarello : Radicchio is great lightly sauteed or grilled with some oil and lemon juice. Spigarello is an Italian variety of leaf broccoli that should be used as you would kale.
1 bag fava beans or snap peas : Both of these are a spring treat. Fava beans are a bit of work to prepare but the reward is worth it. Get them while you can!
