The Farm at Sunnyside for Tuesday May 5!

Certified Organic produce from The Farm at Sunnyside, which is just 75 miles from Washington DC. The small veggie bag for Tuesday 5/5 delivery will delight you with

1 bunch radishes (french or red) : spring is the best time for radishes in our opinion. We love to grow and eat them and we hope you do too!
1 bunch dill -or- cilantro : top your fish dishes with dill and your stir fries with cilantro
1 bunch Asian greens (pac choi or tat soi) : stir fry with miso or soy sauce and vinegar and finish with some sesame oil
1 bag greens (about 1/2 lb) : lettuce, arugula, baby kale or a mix of all: We cannot get enough of salads in the spring!
1 bunch or bag of kale (mixed varieties) : tender and delicious. You can massage for a raw salad or throw it in with some beans or meat for a more substantial meal.

The Farm at Sunnyside is managed by Stacey and Casey. We first met them at the Arlington Farmers Market in 2013. Stacey and Casey are phenomenal farmers and managers tending to the health of their land, soil, staff and our community with their nutritious + delicious vegetables. You may have eaten their vegetables at the Dupont Circle Farmers Market, Falls Church Farmers Market, The Dabney or A Rake's Progress :)

The farm borders the Shenandoah National Park - read more about their conservation efforts on their website. We love visiting Sunnyside and learning about cover crops, compost, field rotation, food safety processes, and managing a seasonal farm staff - Stacey and Casey excel at all these things!

The farm may substitute veggies if they run out. This happens rarely, but does happen from time time. Produce is measured by weight, so quantity may vary slightly from pictures. Sorry, we can't offer substitutions or honor specific vegetable requests right now. Sun
